CHURCH AUDITORIUM EXTENSION PLANS
The Committee of Management has been working
hard to come up with the best plans to give us great auditorium
and fellowship facilities so we can meet together and welcome
new people into the life of the church. Tracie Latter quizzed
Executive Pastor, Mark Davies, on progress.
The plan has been to enlarge the auditorium
to seat at least 400 people by moving the front wall six
meters into the Video Ezy shop and removing the kitchen
and disabled toilet area. This gives us clear rectangular
space in the auditorium. We will then build a new kitchen
and disabled toilet between the auditorium and the playground.
On the dividing wall, we plan to build a new stage flanked
by two green rooms
The idea is to create
a friendly welcoming space as people enter the auditorium
by semi-enclosing the undercover walkway into the auditorium
to create a foyer. Then coming off that the foyer we will
provide a new cafe area between the auditorium and session
house.
In the same space there will be an information kiosk and
bookshop.
