Welcome to our website. Thanks for taking the time to have a look around. My name is Scott Muir and I serve as the Senior Minister at Central Church. Like most churches, we’re not perfect, but we’re doing our best to serve God in the Ipswich community. We’re currently experiencing much growth at Central and so it’s an exciting time in the life of our church.
Our motto is “More to Life”. It emphasises two issues: First our Gospel message points to the truth that Eternal Life is given as a gift through Jesus Christ (Rom. 6:23; John 3:16). In Christ, Christians have new life – we are born again (John 3:3). Second, this does not just have “by and by” future application, it is also “here and now”. Jesus Himself said, I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full (John 10:10).
A motto might seem such a small thing to be bothered about, but in a time when we are expanding our church facilities; when we are putting effort into trying to reach people who do not know about Christ and His salvation – the focus of our motto lets people know what we are about and keeps our own minds on our mission.
